3. Why are you applying to Forsaken Enlightenment and what are your expectations from the guild?
My old guild has sadly shut down. My fiance Matt aka Dreadi has joined your guild and speaks highly of it, so i know you're nice people. Sadly because of the hours that i work i dont get home until 20:15 server time which is too late to raid in most guilds. I would love to raid, but accepting that my work prevents it i would like to be in a nice friendly guild that i might get to sneak into the odd 10 man or as backup.

4. Do you know any current Guild member and how did you hear about us?
Dreadi is my fiance and joined recently.

5. What other guilds have you been in and why did you leave them? Do you currently have any other applications pending with other guilds?
I used to be on Shadowsong, but having followed Matt to this server i have only been in U N I T Y and i am leaving because the guild has stopped raiding and effectively died.

6. Tell us what special qualities you will bring to Forsaken Enlightenment.
I'm friendly and though a little shy i try to get involved and always push to keep my character at a high standard. I'm active with my professions and achievements so am often online and available to help others if/ when needed.

7. Are you interested in becoming a social or raiding member of Forsaken Enlightenment, if social thank you for your application, if raiding please complete the next section.
Social because of the start time issue, but i'd like to fill out the rest in case it helps towards being available as a sub.

Questions for raiders only:

What is your raiding spec and your duel spec if you have one, which do you prefer to play and why?
Marksman is my current spec because it was giving me the best results. I've had good practice with all the specs whenever one overtakes another i tend to swap. I've got beastmaster as a second spec because with MM as my primary and it being strong i wanted something that i enjoyed for my second spec.

How do you keep yourself up to date on the latest developments of your class? Do you visit any websites for this?
Being honest Matt tends to be so aware of changes that before i get a chance to hit the websites he's told me what's going on, but on the odd occasion he slacks i'd look to elitist jerks or a website like that. Beyond that I practice in heroics to test changes and specs when needed.

Comment on your talents and glyphs. Why did you choose them? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those?
Pet damage still makes up a big part of my overall damage so the beastmaster points and sic em/go for the throat talents are a simple way to gain damage and buff myself too. The talents that improve "shots" in MM are simply a must for my damage. I've taken silencing shot because in 10 man it was helpful to have as a backup for fights like nefarion when having enough dependable interupts can be an issue and having a backup at the ready is nice. True shot aura is great when it's not being provided by others. Bombardment is great for making MM have viable aoe dps and since some bosses have trash with them it's nice to have. With rapid fire being a lot like my own personal heroism the post haste and rapid recuperation talents are great for getting the most out of it.

Do you have control of your own time i.e. if you sign and are selected for a raid can you guarantee (disasters and acts of god permitting) that you will be available until raid end time.
I've complete control, excepting the fact that i finish work at 20:00 so i get home for about 20:15 so cant be a true raider.

When are you usually available for raiding (specific days of the week and preferred hours) have you taken note of our raiding days and do they fit into your schedule?
n/a since i cant make raid start time. Though i would be available as backup any days of the week.

What add-ons do you like to use for raids?
ora2, omen, recount, bartender, deadly boss mods

What raiding experience do you have and what role has this been in?
I've always played my hunter other than fun 10 man runs as my healer back in wotlk. I've raided 25 man through tbc all content other than sunwell cleared. I've raided all of wotlk other than heroic modes, though a few of them too.

What raids do you believe you are geared for?
My gear was pretty good so probably fine for current content other than the unavailable firelands heroic ofc.

Have you tried and/or completed any raid achievements and hard modes? What do you think of them and would you like to try more in the future?
I love challenging fights and taking on jobs personally and have always been keen to get stuck in providing kiting or misdirection whatever helps. I did ulduar achievements and have a proto drake to show for it and have done a few hardmodes during wotlk.

We require 100% signs for your trial period, will this be acceptable?
Sorry not able to, but as said above if being available as a backup helps then i'd love that.

Some difficult scenarios

An Officer or fellow member offers you some advice on how to improve your play, be it through rotations, talents or gem and enchant suggestions, how do you feel?
I'd be fine with it, i enjoy talking to people about classes and specs so if someone wants to help then great.

An item that you desperately want drops you register your interest but the loot council awards it to another player as is it a bigger upgrade or their attendance has been better, how do you react?
Congratulate them on the upgrade, it can always drop again.
(also as a backup i wouldnt expect any priority on gear)

In order to balance a raid for an encounter or because there are far to many signs the raidleader places you on standby for the second time running, but another member of your class is in the raid for the third time in a row. What do you do?
with my application this is not applicable, but i ordinarily have no issue with sitting out if it's to help progression.

After a heavy night of raiding another member makes a comment about your performance which may not be called for, how do you react?
I'd like to say i just ignore it and i would, but i'd probably be a little upset if it was offensive. I wouldn't fight back of course other than to say i don't agree or explain my actions if appropriate.

We are wiping..... all night...... getting the raid and the tactics right, your repair bill is going through the roof and not much progression is happening, how do you feel?
That's progression and it makes the kill all the sweeter so i'd put up with it.

We are quite full on hunters (I think) Who are raiding atm, but its always good to have more to keep the raiders in line and behave Happy, if they have no fear of loosing there place, they will act like fools and take liberties.

But other than that I say a yes because your fiance is dreadi and his sister will more than likely be joining, but on the raiding spot im not too sure if you will get in everytime. You could always join and sign and see what happens you never know and you will be with Matt which is always good and a nice social guild Happy.

I will pop you as a raider trial but you may not be selected as we are quite full on hunters (no harm in signing though!)

Any friend/relative of Dredis is a friend of ours, poke an Officer in game and welcome to the guild!

(Have I overdone this sentence yet!)
