My name is Henna. I’m 27 years old Finnish gamer.

2. What is your characters name, level, class, spec and professions? (please provide us with a link to your armoury.)

This character is less than 6 months old, but I changed it to my main when I found my true love: healing. So, restoration is my raiding spec. Enhancement is for questing and my own fun. If you for some strange reason feel that you need dps more than healer, I can switch to elemental.

3. Why are you applying to Forsaken Enlightenment and what are your expectations from the guild?
I’m looking for social guild which is capable of doing 25-man raids (now and in cataclysm). Also Icc10 HC progress would be nice before big black dragon comes out. In cataclysm I’m waiting guild to be able to do 5-mans and raids together with good spirit. Learning new and old tactics (like cc) might not be the easiest thing after wotlk “run trough”-instances. Patience will be needed.

4. Do you know any current Guild member and how did you hear about us?
I know Everlightly and some others (sorry, I can’t remember names) from Icc25 gold DKP. Those were fun runs. I also know Hievna, as he was member of Kalevala. We used to do some weird achievements and mount runs together.

5. What other guilds have you been in and why did you leave them? Do you currently have any other applications pending with other guilds?
I have only been member of Kalevala. When my friends introduced me to WoW I joined to the same guild as they. Nowadays only one of them is playing. I have talked about applying to FE with my current guild master, so I’m not leaving them out of blue. I do not have any other pending guild applications.

6. Tell us what special qualities you will bring to Forsaken Enlightenment.
I’m considering myself quite social/ humorous person. I like WoW lore, but I will not force feed it to others. Should I market myself somehow here... hmm… one happy healer more in guild can not be bad thing to have. ^.^

7. Are you interested in becoming a social or raiding member of Forsaken Enlightenment, if social thank you for your application, if raiding please complete the next section.
I this case, I would like to be social member. Ofc I’m available also for your raids if you accept me to the guild.

OMG Hi, thats for applying, its really funny was just asking Hievna last night how you were getting on because you both came to the gold dkp runs together.

Ione was a healer in our gold dkp runs and a pretty good one, very regular, although Raiding at the moment has calmed down a little but since your looking for social I don't see why we can't bring you in, I'll give my recommendations to the rest of the officer team.

Dont say weird achievements... Anyway. As she said we have done guite a lot achievements and things (NOT that kind of things...) together such as old school raiding. As she said she is in to lore and is eager to tell what she knows if asked and sometimes even if not =). In short, she likes to do things with social people and having fun while doing it.
Oh. She is the one who introduced GDKP to me, so if it wasnt for her, i wouldnt be in GDKP and i wouldnt be writing this =)

Btw if anyone is into lore it is defo me, having played All the warcrafts and completed them except the first as that was at a friends so didnt get to play that long.

Yea, and I always like the last questions being answered then it gives an idea to what the persons attitude is like, say they join as social avoid them questions then turn out to be a loot whore (even though people will never say "omg im a loot whore" on an app still gives a rough idea of the mentality).

We have been dealing with it since the first day she posted it, she has not replied to a single post, how can we "deal" with it when we are just talking to ourselves?.

Its like going to a job interview and when the employee talks to you, you just sit there and don't say a word nothing will get done.

Its quite simple really, a few responses always helps us decide if they want to join and or are suitable. Just saying we can't deal with anything if they dont talk back lol.

Also it does seem like it is a raider application as she wants to do some ICC10 heroics before cata comes, 25man progress and also raid in cata so I am slightly concerned she hasn't taken the time to do the raider questions.

Btw im not b**ching (you can tell when I am) just would like some kind of input from the applicant lol.

I have been here at least two times a day checking what is going on. I just did not have anything to say. I'm from Finland, we do sit quiet in our job interviews.

My account in only one year old, so I do not have many characters. My mage, Iryne, has been sitting in Dalaran ever since Ione took her place. Poor thing, haven't even seen LK. Trying to be top dps is not as fun as being healer fot me, so I haven't played Iryne much after I created Ione. (Read: trying to beat monster-mage Hievna in dps was not fun XD ). I will level Iryne to 85 in cata, but Ione is priority one for me.

If you are wondering why Ione does not seem to be active: the reason is that I'm currently working with low level druid Eluniel. Ione does her jewelcrafting+reputation dailies and waits if there is some raid to attend.

Raid answers according Ione ( I did not answer these earlier since your raider recruitment is currently closed)

What is your raiding spec and your duel spec if you have one, which do you prefer to play and why?
Restoration. I prefer raiding with restoration since I feel that healing is my thing.

How do you keep yourself up to date on the latest developments of your class? Do you visit any websites for this?
I read patch notes, elitistjerks, wow popular, wowhead blogs and wow insider for new information. I also watch tankspot or similar videos, if encounter is not familiar to me.

Comment on your talents and glyphs. Why did you choose them? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those?
Restoration have some flexibility about talents, but since I do not have mana problems or feel need for some minor healing increase I did not pick Focused Insight or Telluric Currents. Glyphs are now really easy to change, but I feel that ones that I'm using are working fine. Those are suggested in wow insider 4.0.1 restoration guide.

Do you have control of your own time i.e. if you sign and are selected for a raid can you guarantee (disasters and acts of god permitting) that you will be available until raid end time.
Yes. I live alone with two dogs. I can control my life so that I will not be interrupted when I do not want it.

When are you usually available for raiding (specific days of the week and preferred hours) have you taken note of our raiding days and do they fit into your schedule?
I checked your raiding days and times before applying to guild. Those are fine for me.

What add-ons do you like to use for raids?
Deadly boss mod & Omen - do I even need to tell why?
HealBot – Nicer frames for healing (I use mouseover-macros, so I could heal without it)
Totem timers – shaman addon for totems, cd and everything else
Decursive – removing harmful things from raid. Useful now when shaman do not have Cleansing Totem.
Recount – checking for my healing output
Bartender & quartz – Interface addons.

What raiding experience do you have and what role has this been in?
My highest experience is Icc10 LK as healer. That was before 4.0.1.

What raids do you believe you are geared for?
I think I can heal at least icc10 HC and icc25. Ofc other healers in raid will matter a lot.

Have you tried and/or completed any raid achievements and hard modes? What do you think of them and would you like to try more in the future?
I have done 6/12 icc10 HC. It was one run and it never continued (no proper continuation time found). I think it was more interesting than normal mode.

Some difficult scenarios

An Officer or fellow member offers you some advice on how to improve your play, be it through rotations, talents or gem and enchant suggestions, how do you feel?
I would a appreciate advice and give it a try in later. I try to keep my character up to date.

An item that you desperately want drops from ICC 25 you register your interest but the loot council awards it to another player as is it a bigger upgrade or their attendance has been better, how do you react?
If item is bigger update to him/her, it ofc should go to him/her. If other person has been more active on raids: I understand why raid leader prefers other one before me (better to give item to someone who uses it than someone who just sits in Dalaran). I do not want to break human relations for some item that can (and will) drop in future.

In order to balance a raid for an encounter or because there are far to many signs the raidleader places you on standby for the second time running, but another member of your class is in the raid for the third time in a row. What do you do?
Raid leader creates raid, so he/she will chose who will be on group. If I feel I do not have change to raid, I will ask if is it possible to create another weekly raid group.

After a heavy night of raiding another member makes a comment about your performance which may not be called for, how do you react?
- If I feel that comment is not valid I will check my performance from logs. If it says I did as well as I usually do, then I will not react persons comment.
- If I also see that I did not do my best I will say it to him/her. I will not start argue, since it does not make situation better anyhow. I will check what I did wrong and how to avoid it in the future.

We are wiping..... all night...... getting the raid and the tactics right, your repair bill is going through the roof and not much progression is happening, how do you feel?
That is the price of progression raids. There will be wipes.. and repair bills.
