1. What is your name, age and location?
Fatpob, over 30 and based in blackpool UK.
2. What is your characters name, level, class, spec and professions? (please provide us with a link to your armoury.)
Galadruin, 80, Paladin, Holy, BS & Enchanter
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Emerald+Dream&cn=Galadruin
3. Why are you applying to Forsaken Enlightenment and what are your expectations from the guild?
I am looking for social raiding guild. I am currently in Muted, but things have fallen apart with GL more or less quitting, and many following suit.
With only 3-8 members on at a time now, it is a pretty bad guild experience, especially when last month or so there was always 20+ at all times.
4. Do you know any current Guild member and how did you hear about us?
I know a few, including Tethane, mostly from Pugs and Fail Pugs!!!
5. What other guilds have you been in and why did you leave them? Do you currently have any other applications pending with other guilds?
This character is a re-roll and I have only been in Fearless - which collapsed due to "who will raid icc10 arguments" and then onto Muted - which is more or less dead now. I was originally from Karazahn Server, transferred my warlock then re-rolled a paladin.
6. Tell us what special qualities you will bring to Forsaken Enlightenment.
ME. You will get to boost me and everything -it should make you proud.
7. Are you interested in becoming a social or raiding member of Forsaken Enlightenment, if social thank you for your application, if raiding please complete the next section.
Raiding
R 1. What is your raiding spec and your duel spec if you have one, which do you prefer to play and why?
(Dual spec nor duel!!!)
Holy / Prot. I was prot off spec simply to get quick queues in LFD. I have resonable off spec gear, probably icc10 ish, but aoe tanking is a bit poor at the moment. Come cata it may be more fun.
R 2. How do you keep yourself up to date on the latest developments of your class? Do you visit any websites for this?
Usually check out MMO-champ, EJ (usually for the lols as it is so angry), tankspot, and I used toi use Bosskillers pre gold selling. I also post/troll on the official forums
R 3. Comment on your talents and glyphs. Why did you choose them? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those?
Talent spec gives DS/DS and when combined with AM can substantially remove raid damage - very useful on BQ!! Glyphs are the best for holy pally.
R 4. Do you have control of your own time i.e. if you sign and are selected for a raid can you guarantee (disasters and acts of god permitting) that you will be available until raid end time.
If I sign I will be there. My main interest is icc25, to which the nights they are on work for me.
R 5. When are you usually available for raiding (specific days of the week and preferred hours) have you taken note of our raiding days and do they fit into your schedule?
As above, 3 nights is fine for me, though I can be found on line most nights late on. I am happy to sub in for late runs if needed and I am about.
R 6. What add-ons do you like to use for raids?
Xperl, DBM, Omen, Omni CC, Recount.
R 7. What raiding experience do you have and what role has this been in?
ICC 10 10/12, icc 25 10/12, RS 25 1/1. Healer not done rs 10 yet, also have done a fair few HMs on icc 10, as well as loot ship on 25. I have missed several follow-ups for one reason or another and missed on on KS for 10 man.
r 8. What raids do you believe you are geared for?
All content currently available.
R 9. Have you tried and/or completed any raid achievements and hard modes? What do you think of them and would you like to try more in the future?
Done a few ach and some HMs on 10 man. Mostly the require tight control, and in my case careful mana management despite having an endless supply of mana, some bosses hit tank really really hard.

Missed these ones dooh.
An Officer or fellow member offers you some advice on how to improve your play, be it through rotations, talents or gem and enchant suggestions, how do you feel?
It depends if the advice is how to suck eggs tbh. I am always open to constructive feedback and suggestions, but being told to beacon 1 tank and heal the other is likely to garner a "O rly" response. (Yes I have been told that, as well as use HL to heal tank as they take a lot of damage!!!)
An item that you desperately want drops from ICC 25 you register your interest but the loot council awards it to another player as is it a bigger upgrade or their attendance has been better, how do you react?
Loot smoot - bosses dropping and progression is what truly matters, and there is always a chance "desperately required loot" will drop again.
In order to balance a raid for an encounter or because there are far to many signs the raidleader places you on standby for the second time running, but another member of your class is in the raid for the third time in a row. What do you do?
There must be more holy pallies then any other class in the world, however I would appreciate the same chance to raid as any other holy pally in the guild. I would discuss with officer/GL after the event either way, as drama (though amusing to read on forums) won't help a raid progression run.
After a heavy night of raiding another member makes a comment about your performance which may not be called for, how do you react?
As above "o rly". Though in truth I am usually my own harshest critic, and I will know if I have been poor and been there for the boost
We are wiping..... all night...... getting the raid and the tactics right, your repair bill is going through the roof and not much progression is happening, how do you feel?
Hahahahahahahaha lols. I spent last week wiping (over 500 gold) on Halion 25 in a PuG ran by Tankmeup. We went back on Saturday with a lot of the same people and downed him 4th or 5th time.
Truth is there are nights when you get a boss to 11% or even 3 % and no matter what you wipe. You follow it up and drop it 1-shot (more like 2 or 3). Its part of the game. Plus gold is easy to come by really.

Nice application and another holy paladin healer, seems cool but BUT raiding spots are kinda sparce atm like I warn all so if you didnt get a raid spot every time how would you feel? as we have a decent amount of people who have raided and spent weeks wiping on boss to get where we are and it would be rude to just replace them.
Social is always open to decent people seem quite nice, only answer that makes me a bit Mmm is the HAHAHAHA LOLS but Im sure nothing is ment wrong there ;p.
Just dont want people joining as "raiding" but not being able to get as many raids as possible and leaving on bad terms.
Otherwise its all good, sure you would enjoy it here most people do

I appreciate it's tough to choose raiders when there are lots of people vs limited spots, and I would expect people who have been there week in week out to keep their place over me, they deserve it. I am happy to jump in if people need to go earlier then expected or can't make it on a particular night.

I may appear to have come across way to leet for WoW with this. Wiping isn't a problem. I have had nights where we struggle on one boss all night, only to 1-shot it next time. Shizzle happens. To summarise, gold/wiping isn't an issue.

Raiding is one aspect of WoW I really enjoy, and there is nothing better then dropping a boss for the first time after hours of head slamming into your keyboard. However I also enjoy social aspect and guild shennigans.
I don't join guilds lightly, nor spam applications to anyone and everyone. If I am accepted, and I join I am there for the Long Haul, not just for the shineys.

I'm very much in agreement, I have always enjoyed the raids I have ended up in with you, or you have been leading and your posts on the forums have always been helpful and polite.
We do have one rule which you may not like and that is that we don't allow anyone under the raider (enlightened) rank to create PUG's, the reason for this is that obviously we have worked hard to build and maintain our reputation on Emerald Dream and until we know the person well and they have proved themselves as an upstanding member of the guild we would rather not risk the bad leading/ninjaing etc etc.
Not suggesting for a moment that I think you would ever do anything like that!! but its a rule all new members have to go by until they are promoted, I have set a precident and have to stick to it!
If you have no problem with this I would love you to become part of the FE family (and was quite chuffed to see your application when I logged in this morning!)
