3. Why are you applying to Forsaken Enlightenment and what are your expectations from the guild?

I am interested in a somewhat regular raiding. I am interested in a social guild, I am currently in the same guild since a few years back with 3 IRL friends affiliated with Fighting Mongooses but want to get into a more regular environment. Not logging alone as the only member, not getting regular opportunities to raid or whatever.

4. Do you know any current Guild member and how did you hear about us?

I have had some interaction doing some minor raids with you ages ago, well tbc & seeing Tethane from time to time in /sga

5. What other guilds have you been in and why did you leave them? Do you currently have any other applications pending with other guilds?

I have only been in one guild, am still in it. I have mentioned in /g that I am interested in something new. No other applications.

6. Tell us what special qualities you will bring to Forsaken Enlightenment.
I am a social, helpful person interested in raiding, grouping, whichever really. I have previously (in another MMORPG) been officer & co gm, but due to work and life not interested in that anymore.

7. Are you interested in becoming a social or raiding member of Forsaken Enlightenment, if social thank you for your application, if raiding please complete the next section.

Questions for raiders only:

What is your raiding spec and your duel spec if you have one, which do you prefer to play and why?

I prefer playing my rogue, dual specc not really relevant (combat main atm, muti off) as I switch depending on equipment. My specc is 20 ass/51 combat, more or less update with EJ. Offspecc is 51 ass/13 comb/7 subl, not sure how update it is not really played it in 3.3 Happy

How do you keep yourself up to date on the latest developments of your class? Do you visit any websites for this?

I follow wowhead (reading the forum) & Tankspot (for my tank & as its a somewhat friendlier area than EJ), occasionally also elitist jerks (for spread sheet etc).

Comment on your talents and glyphs. Why did you choose them? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those?

I have been fairly fotm, i read up on EJ what the 3.3 combat specc was and picked it and the glyphs. No original thinking.

Do you have control of your own time i.e. if you sign and are selected for a raid can you guarantee (disasters and acts of god permitting) that you will be available until raid end time.

Typically available. I do try to have the pretence a social life, so Fridays / Saturdays not a given.

When are you usually available for raiding (specific days of the week and preferred hours) have you taken note of our raiding days and do they fit into your schedule?

Should be able to meet 20-24 server time +/- 1 hr. Prefer to not commit for Fri/Sat weekends in advance.

What add-ons do you like to use for raids?

I am a little unsophisticated. I use Omen, DBM and Recount and thats it. Current environment thats fine but can adapt to more tailormade.

What raiding experience do you have and what role has this been in?
Given the guild I am in its mainly been 10 mans. ICC first 4, TOC, greater part of Ulduar, Naxx but limited 25 man experience.

What raids do you believe you are geared for?
ICC10/25

Have you tried and/or completed any raid achievements and hard modes? What do you think of them and would you like to try more in the future?

I look for a new place partly for that reason. Completed TOC, Naxx, and most of Ulduar, not tried a lot of hard modes etc.
Some difficult scenarios

An Officer or fellow member offers you some advice on how to improve your play, be it through rotations, talents or gem and enchant suggestions, how do you feel?
Dont mind getting input.

An item that you desperately want drops from ICC 25 you register your interest but the loot council awards it to another player as is it a bigger upgrade or their attendance has been better, how do you react?

Not into it for loot alone, want to see more of the game & be in a nice environment. I am as interested in new shinies as the next guy, would prefer to understand why. I am not a drama queen.

In order to balance a raid for an encounter or because there are far to many signs the raidleader places you on standby for the second time running, but another member of your class is in the raid for the third time in a row. What do you do?

I would like to know why, is the other person performing better (dps, moving out of fire ability etc)?

After a heavy night of raiding another member makes a comment about your performance which may not be called for, how do you react?

Silence.

We are wiping..... all night...... getting the raid and the tactics right, your repair bill is going through the roof and not much progression is happening, how do you feel?

Frustrated ofc. But that is part of the game if you want to try something new. Repair bill not really material.
