my mage spec, can anyone help?

i currently am level 76 with 995 spell damage and 145 spell hit, this is my spec

even though i spam scorch fire blast and fire ball i still have trouble staying up onthe dps, can any of you recomend a simular build with still getting the same benifits and spells that i alreadys have or atlast close to it

I have thrown 1 or 2 points around and filled in some more up till 80 in this build. You can skip World in Flames You might consider taking a point away from somewhere and put that in Living Bomb, but i don't have any experience with that spell yet so i'm not sure if it's worth it...

Considering it's not the build that keeps your DPS low, it might be your ability rotation? Maybe you can give a quick overview of how and when you use what spells? Or perhaps we'll just have to group up sometime again and hurt some stuff? ;)

The only thing i can honestly see thats wrong with your spec is that you dont have enough talent points to get Living bomb since thats part of the rotation of spells you need to cast.

if your comparing yourself with people of higher level then you then no worries as you get gear and talents you'll be able to see a very nice increase in dps

Something like this or close to it
(torment of the weak only works if you can find an arcane mage to spam Slow on the boss, its the only "snare" ability that currently works on bosses

Spam Frostfire bolt all the time, use Scorch every 30 seconds(ish) to keep Improved Scorch up & cast Pyroblast when you get a Hot Streak. Use Mage Armor & if you've got enough mana try to keep Living Bomb on the target.

This also happens to be a suggested raid build btw =p
(last 2 points can be put in wahtever you want)

its good if you have a lot of crit rating, because the frosfire bolt hits less but crits more!
I think I'll try it out for a while to see if my dps goes up, thx for the post. can say that I would never think of that spec xD
