Hi, my name is Jonas, I am 21 and live in Norway

I do not have a main at the moment, but these are the two that I am applying for:
Yuaniias - Feral druid(Both off and main specc)
Insigna - Holy/Shadow priest - Herbalist/Alchemy(Maxed)

3. Why are you applying to Forsaken Enlightenment and what are your expectations from the guild?
I am applying to this guild, because I wish to start to raid again. I have been trying to get my current guild up and going. But people are just not that interested.
I am mainly looking for a guild, that has nice members that are social in the guild chat, does heroics with other members etc. And this is the impression that I have gotten, from reading about this guild.

4. Do you know any current Guild member and how did you hear about us?
No, I do not know any current Guild Members. I heard about you, from the European forums.
5. What other guilds have you been in and why did you leave them? Do you currently have any other applications pending with other guilds?
The only guild, that I have been in on this realm is my current one.
I have not left them yet, but I wish to find a guild with people that wish to do raids. And that are more social with other guild members, than what the people in my current guild is. No, I do not have any applications in other guilds.

6. Tell us what special qualities you will bring to Forsaken Enlightenment.
One of my best qualities as a raider, is that I do NOT give up. I do not care how many wipes it takes, for me to take down a boss. If I do something wrong, I will do my best to find a solution to the problem.
I am not one of those players, who gets enraged and smashes my keyboard. But instead, I accept defeat and finds a solution to the problem(hmm, I think that I said the same thing there, two times in different ways heh)
7. Are you interested in becoming a social or raiding member of Forsaken Enlightenment, if social thank you for your application, if raiding please complete the next section.
I am interested in Raiding ;)

Questions for raiders only:

What is your raiding spec and your duel spec if you have one, which do you prefer to play and why?
As a druid, I prefer to go as a tank. Since that is what I got experience with.(iLvL 355)
As priest, then I prefer healing. I have been a healer, ever since wow got released. And that is what I enjoy the most to play as. My off-specc is Shadow. and I got iLvL 355 as shadow also.

How do you keep yourself up to date on the latest developments of your class? Do you visit any websites for this?
I am checking out, MMO-Champ every day. And I am interested in most of the changes. Mainly to classes I play. But also to bug fixes etc.

Comment on your talents and glyphs. Why did you choose them? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those?
Priest:
My talents(holy)is based, on what suits my play style.it is based off how I like to do things. etc, I like to use HoT's to keep people healed when I have to focus on another player. kind of like a safe"mode" thing.
My glyphs are the way they are, because these are the things that I feel that I will benefit from the most.
CoH: Because 1 is allways more. If you heal an additional player, thats a huge pluss in my eyes.
PoM: it is a nice spell, to use when you are healing someone. And 60% increase is great! And helps keeping people alive!
Smite: I have forgotten to remove it, because I was just trying disc specc.
Flash Heal: Nice to have in emergency's!
shield: more healing here, 20% healing of the absorbed amount. Not bad imo.
Renew: One of my favorite spells along with PW:Shield. 10% increased healing from this spell is nice.
Shadowfiend: Helpful, if I for some reason loses my pet to dmg.

Druid:
This is the best, tanking tree that I can think off. It contains spells that I feel that I need. such as Survival Instinct, Pulverize and Berserk. but additional Stamina from HotW is not a minus either.
Glyphs - mangle: 10% increased dmg. it is not a negative thing. It helps me increase my threat. and it also helps when it comes to the dps. - Berserker: Increases the duration by 10 sec. And I do not see the negative side to this. - Lacrate: a 5% crit chance of one of my "threat" spells is not a bad thing. - Challenging roar: a reduction of 30 sec is good to have in emergencies!

Do you have control of your own time i.e. if you sign and are selected for a raid can you guarantee (disasters and acts of god permitting) that you will be available until raid end time.
yes, I can guarentee that. I hate being late, and I will show up for something that I have said that I will show up for(signed up for).
I am a man of my word, and if I say that I will do something, I do it!
The only exception, is if I get shot or something like that. Or if I break my fingers :S But that haven't happened yet, so that should not be a problem. haha

When are you usually available for raiding (specific days of the week and preferred hours) have you taken note of our raiding days and do they fit into your schedule?
I am available Sunday, Monday and Wednsday. Well, I am available most days. I control my schedule. if I have a raid I need to go to, I make sure that there is time for it.

What add-ons do you like to use for raids?
Omen Threat Meter, Deadly Boss Mod, Recount are the ones that I feel is the most important ones. But if anyone got suggestions, then I am open for them.

What raiding experience do you have and what role has this been in?
Priest(Holy):
All the Vanilla raids. All the TBC Raids and all except Ruby sanctrum.
And as shadow/holy for the first two bosses in BWD.(There is only mentioned experience, from the time when these were the maximum level raid instances)

Druid(Tank): TBC: Karazhan, Gruul's lair, Onyxias Lair
WotLK: Naxxramas, ToTC and ICC
Cataclysm: The first two bosses in BWD

What raids do you believe you are geared for?
Druid: all the raids, up to FL 10 man. But I am always trying to improve my gear.
Priest: Shadow - FL 10 man / Holy - almost ready for FL 10 man. I am always trying to improve my gear. And replace items that needs to be replaced. And to keep my gear enchanted/gemmed(this goes for both the chars).

Have you tried and/or completed any raid achievements and hard modes? What do you think of them and would you like to try more in the future?
No, I have not gotten to try them yet(in cataclysm)due to my guild not being a raiding guild. But I would love to do so.

We require 100% signs for your trial period, will this be acceptable?
I do not have a problem with accepting this.

Some difficult scenarios

An Officer or fellow member offers you some advice on how to improve your play, be it through rotations, talents or gem and enchant suggestions, how do you feel? I do not see any negative sides to this, I try them out and see if they helps me, to be a better player. Any advice is a good advice(unless, they tells you to go jump off a bridge or something of course hehe.)

An item that you desperately want drops you register your interest but the loot council awards it to another player as is it a bigger upgrade or their attendance has been better, how do you react?
I will see it, for what it is. If it is a bigger upgrade for him/her. Then that will help the raid progression, more than it would if I got it.

In order to balance a raid for an encounter or because there are far to many signs the raidleader places you on standby for the second time running, but another member of your class is in the raid for the third time in a row. What do you do?
It would be a childish thing to do, if I were to whine and complain about that in guild chat. So I would take it like a man, and accept it. If they want him more than me there, thats fine. Then il'l work on my gear, farm some herbs etc.

After a heavy night of raiding another member makes a comment about your performance which may not be called for, how do you react?
I try to handle it, as mature as possible. I do not like to argue with people, and I try to get them to say it, in a better way. Or to deepen it more(Is it just me, or was that a bad translation?).

We are wiping..... all night...... getting the raid and the tactics right, your repair bill is going through the roof and not much progression is happening, how do you feel?
I do not really care about my repair bills. I feel that it is better that we tried and failed, than if we gave up after few tries.
As I mentioned earlier, I do not give up fast. I have been in countless wipes, and it haven't stopped me yet.

The one you choose, is up to you. But I have to admit, that I have the most experience as priest(healing). That is what I have played most, and it is the class I know best.

Nice app, and great you offer a choice - but you really need to choose 1 you want to play as that will be your main for EP/GP and the one invited for 25 man raids.

However we are pretty much sorted for both Tanks and Healers, with slightly more opportunity for DPS - perhaps kitty as I don't think we have a full time raiding kitty.

A limited experience in cata raids may be a slight issue - though I am sure it can be overcome with practice. It may be worth pugging some raids just to understand the boss fights.

Are you happy to hang about on standby for most of the 25 raids? As there is limited to no space there for tanks and healers currently?

There is of course a chance to join the Tuesday night raid (usually 10 man).

Galadruin is correct. We are pretty much covered with healers and tanks, maybe one more available healer might be helpfull incase of attendance issues.

The most likely spec that would be considered would be kitty dps, as gala says we dont have an active one. Out dps team is quite big and we do have peeps sitting out at times.

I'm a little disapointed really as you have made a really good application but I think we could struggle to fit you in. But I'll let our GM have an input and see what she thinks. good luck

I have raided for the last 3 weeks in my offspec.
im happy to go healer full time if that was agreable with the powers that be or swap the dps position when holy was more prefrable than disc but i think we could use another if not 2 healers all be it not maybe priests but then on the other hand that is more life grips for Jim so its win / win really.

What you've got to remember Jaden, is that some fights require 7 healers, whereas others require 6 healers, as we gear up, its likely that we will do most fights with only 6 healers.

Anywho, i think the application is a good one for sure, i think that given the situation at the moment, he might struggle for a spot, maybe more of a fill in for people that can't make it, e.g. myself this wednesday for instance, ofcourse there are the extra raiding days for peoples alt's etc.

If it were up to me, i'd give him a spot straight away, but really need Jodie our guild mistress, and the officers to look at the post, give their opinions, weigh up whether or not they need another healer, or whether it would be better for the raid to have a feral drood dps.

Well, that really depend on what you need the most. I got most experience as Priest. But that is mainly as a healer, I have gone as dps in raids in pugs. So the priest would be what I would prefer. However, it doesn't matter much to me. I like to play both druid and priest. But as I mentioned earlier, I know the priest class best. So that might be what you would benefit the most from.

I don't think that I would mind that, I haven't gotten that much experience as kitty dps. Since I find it easier to find groups, as feral tank. And I have been more interested in that thus far. However, I would probably not mind going as kitty dps either. It should not be that hard to learn. I would just need to fix on my kitty specc, and probably re-gem and enchant some items. but that shouln't be a big problem. As for sitting out, that should not be a problem either. I got many books to read and movies to watch. So I can just place WoW on the other monitor. and check the Guild/Whisper chat frequently.

I do enjoy healing the most while raiding as priest, but going as shadow is not a problem either. But healer as priest is what I would prefer ^^

regarding melee spots just wanna point out that it seems the few spots at the raids for melee allready got a very tight rotation.

Meaning that the runs goes with 5 melee where one is the os tank. And at the raid sign ups we all ready got 3 melee dps in line for a spot. And a couple of them sits out in 2nd time in a row so it seems tight.

Anyhow i know our guardians will take everyting in consideration.

Nice app and response's, We do need another healer if not more,

1. As we do not have enough to let people use main spec
2. So that healers don't get complacent about there space and start slacking, competition is a good thing to better oneself.

Also we don't have a feral tank that can raid with the guild and we could do with more tanks as above so no problem with either class joining here.

Hmm, nice. So you need both of the roles I am applying for then hehe.
I'm in as whatever of the two chars you want the most. But if I understood you correctly. then you seem to need both the roles.

Sorry for my delay in replying, some of the information people have given over here is both correct and incorrect. Let me clear this up. We do not require a tank, our dps spots are pretty full but have a duel spec priest healer/dps could be good for the raid group.

I would not be able to gurentee you any raid spots at the moment, but I like to be in the position that the people that sign for all three raids nights get the spots, therefore if you sign for all 3 and 2 other healers only sign for 2, there is a likelyhood that if you gear is on a comparetive level, you will get a spot.

I would like to offer you a trial with your priest as your main but please be aware of the above statements.
