Questions for all applicants:
1. What is your name, age and location?
My name is Ann-Liza but I'm just called Liza (pronounced Lisa). I'm in my mid-thirties, married and I live in Denmark
2. What is your characters name, level, class, spec and professions? Also list any alt's (please provide us with a link to your armoury.)
My character is called Ragamuffin and she's a lvl 85 assassination rogue. I have alchemy and herbalism as professions. I have no lvl 85 alts but plenty of small alts I play with for fun on occasion.

3. Why are you applying to Forsaken Enlightenment and what are your expectations from the guild?
I'm applying because I'm looking for a new raid guild. I saw that you were recruiting and and thought I'd see if you were interested. I'm looking for a guild that takes raiding seriously but not too seriously. I have a life besides Wow but I like raiding all the same.
4. Do you know any current Guild member and how did you hear about us?
I'm not sure if I know any of your guildies. I think this is where Dreadi went but I'm not sure. Your name came up on the guild recruit thing in wow so I thought I'd check out your web site and I liked what I saw.
5. What other guilds have you been in and why did you leave them? Do you currently have any other applications pending with other guilds?
Lately, I was in U N I T Y which fell apart. I had a 3 day trial with Bad Omen which didn't work out since they raid until past midnight. No I don't have any other applications out. I like to concentrate at one guild at a time.
6. Tell us what special qualities you will bring to Forsaken Enlightenment.
I'm a fairly mature woman. I have quirky sense of humour.
7. Are you interested in becoming a social or raiding member of Forsaken Enlightenment, if social thank you for your application, if raiding please complete the next section.
Questions for raiders only:
What is your raiding spec and your duel spec if you have one, which do you prefer to play and why?
I'm an assassination rogue but I have a combat spec also. I'm mainly ass now because the dmg output seems to be a bit higher but I prefer combat.
How do you keep yourself up to date on the latest developments of your class? Do you visit any websites for this?
I haven't raided with other rogues for years so I've relied on forums and sites like elitistjerks and maxdps for help for a long time. If I get a chance to see a rogue in action who does more dps than me I'll try and find their spec and try it out
Comment on your talents and glyphs. Why did you choose them? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those?
My present spec and such is taken from a rogue I saw doing crazy dps. I tried it out and it worked for me. I always try to listen to advice given to me.
Do you have control of your own time i.e. if you sign and are selected for a raid can you guarantee (disasters and acts of god permitting) that you will be available until raid end time.
Yes I should have no problem staying for a full raid. The only thing that could stop me are family emergencies (has happened once in 5 years maybe) like the time my daughter threw up all over her bed. YUCK.
When are you usually available for raiding (specific days of the week and preferred hours) have you taken note of our raiding days and do they fit into your schedule?
I'm available all days except every other tuesday and saturdays. I've noticed you raid sunday, monday and wednesdays and from 8-11 which are perfect times for me
What add-ons do you like to use for raids?
these days I only use DBM, omen and recount since wow has everything else built in
What raiding experience do you have and what role has this been in?
I have raided up to Nefarian in BWD, had one attempt on boss 3 in BOT and 2 wipe nights on first boss in firelands
I was just a standard raid grunt in UNITY but often I'd be a part of an interrupt rotation or similar
What raids do you believe you are geared for?
Since i'm itemlevel 360 I believe I'm geared for the firelands
Have you tried and/or completed any raid achievements and hard modes? What do you think of them and would you like to try more in the future?
Frankly, I don't pay much attention to achievements so not sure which I have. I don't mind going for them to make things more interesting but firstly I focus on getting bosses down
We require 100% signs for your trial period, will this be acceptable?
Shouldn't be a problem...except for the fact that I leave for a week in Bulgaria on the 26th of july. I hope this won't be an issue for you...I would have no problem either extending a trial or waiting until August to start if that is more convenient.
Some difficult scenarios
An Officer or fellow member offers you some advice on how to improve your play, be it through rotations, talents or gem and enchant suggestions, how do you feel?
Grateful. I'd love to get some help. I've been the sole rogue raider for years and could probably use a little tweaking.
An item that you desperately want drops you register your interest but the loot council awards it to another player as is it a bigger upgrade or their attendance has been better, how do you react?
It's not a problem...with luck that item will drop again some other time. I've always focused more on first boss kills and always consider loot to be a means to an end.
In order to balance a raid for an encounter or because there are far to many signs the raidleader places you on standby for the second time running, but another member of your class is in the raid for the third time in a row. What do you do?
It will probably bother me a bit but I understand that to make a raid or guild work sometimes you gotta stay on the bench
After a heavy night of raiding another member makes a comment about your performance which may not be called for, how do you react?
Yeah...there are 3 options for this one....1) I yell back at the raid member and we argue 2) I put him on ignore and sleep on it (take him off the next day) 3) I accept that I might have performed poorly and do nothing. (I do have a bit of a temper I must admit but generally i'm well-behaved)
We are wiping..... all night...... getting the raid and the tactics right, your repair bill is going through the roof and not much progression is happening, how do you feel?
I feel bad about it but I've been raiding for 6 years now. Wipe nights are necessary sometimes to progress in the game. Generally, I take it on the chin and work at doing my very best

Many thanks for your application, I like what I see, but will get some other comments from Officers and your fellow roguey cohorts before I make a decision. Check back for any questions they may have!

Seems a good app, shame you play ass instead of combat when you enjoy combat more. I very much doubt I will ever go ass and as combat my dps is normally on par with ass rogues, Depending on fights it out dpses them aswell so go with what you like I always say.
Other than that no problems here.

Ok all seem great, I think having another rogue onboard would be good, drop me or another Officer for an invite and welcome to the Guild.
Make sure you read the "AMG I have been accepted..... WHAT NOW!" part of the link below.
