Warmaster Blackhorn is the 6th boss encounter within the Dragon Soul raid.

- Two phases: one that requires the raid to deal with adds and one that is a tank and spank burn phase
- a flying gunship, The Skyfire, has a health pool

Phase One - adds and void zones
- Warmaster Blackhorn is flying in the air on his drake, Goriona.
- Goal is to survive 3 waves of adds, while also keeping the gunship from being destroyed.
- In order to reset the stacks of the DoTs, tanks will need to switch the adds between them.
- Twilight Assault Drakes drop off 3 types of adds (1 Twilight Elite Dreadblade, 1 Twilight Elite Slayer and Twilight Sappers)
- Twilight Sappers spawn on a separate cooldown, not directly linked to the waves.
- NPCs will harpoon Twilight Assault Drakes and reel them close to the ship, ranged DPS players should kill them.
- Stand on void zones
- Kill adds

Abilities:
- Twilight Onslaught. Goriona's only ability on this phase. Roughly every 35 seconds large void zone lands at random location on the gunship. All or most of raid members need to stack in these void zones -> split the damage and to protect the gunship from taking too much damage.
- Twilight Barrage: Twilight Assault Drake's version of Goriona's ability. Small void zone, frequency of zones will depend on how many drakes are alive. Doesn't damage to the Skybreaker as long as at least one player stands on zone.
- Blade Rush: both Dreadblades and Slayers charge a random raid member. Move away from the path.
- Degeneration: Dreadblade’s frontal cone attack. A DoT stacks with each new application. (shadow damage). Can be dodged or parried.
- Brutal Strike: Slayer’s frontal cone attack. A DoT stacks with each new application. (physical damage). Can be dodged or parried.
- Detonate: Twilight Sappers ability, takes -20% of the ship's maximum health. They try to run towards the back of the ship. Can be slowed, Death Gripped and stunned. Focus to kill these as soon as they land.

Phase Two - tank and spank

- Warmaster Blackhorn jumps on the ship, Goriona is still flying in the air
- gunship no longer takes damage
- a tank should pick up Blackhorn and move him to the center of the ship.
- tanks taunt Warmaster Blackhorn off of each other at 2 stacks of Devastate
- ranged DPS needs burn Goriona to 25% health, after that she will fly away and leave the encounter.
- spread around Warmaster Blackhorn -> a few people as possible will need to move for each Shockwave

Abilities:
- Twilight Flames: Goriona's only ability on this phase. Launches ball of flame at a random player, flames persist on the ship for a short while.
- Vengeance: Blackhorn's enrage gained throughout the phase. Deals 1% increased damage for each 1% of his health that is missing.
- Devastate: a sunder armor debuff, lasts 30 seconds and stacks, requiring a tank switch.
- Disrupting Roar: roughly every 20 seconds. Interrups and silences players within 10 yards for 8 seconds. Casters need to stay further than 10 yards away from the Blackhorn.
- Shockwave: roughly every 25 seconds. Warmaster Blackhorn will often face a random raid member before casting this ability, so it may end up targeting the raid.

Best to do at the adds is when the spawn just taunt them asap, then look what we have, then do a switch if needed.

This way dmg on by those adds is minimaized on random raid members.

Looking at the phases, we just needx to get to phase 2 with some health on the ship.

Is it worth assigning 2 teams of 3 (ranged dps) to look for the small whirly things rather than the whole team, so we can maximise DPS on the adds?

This way we can get a feel forhow much damage the ship will take. One of the issues was the damage done and moving and healing was troublesome.

Not really, they spawn so quick that its impossible to get across even half the boat before they impact.
