1. What is your name, age and location?
Heya, Im Johnny or Flower as some of you may remember me Happy 15 and from south wales (y)
2. What is your characters name, level, class, spec and professions? (please provide us with a link to your armoury.) Fowler...Flower...80 paladin and Protection/retribution/Holy; really. Geared upto icc 25 hardmodes in all 3 Happy im a Leatherworker and Jewelcrafter.
I also have a Demo/Destro lock
and ARMS!/...fury... warrior
my baby lock is nearly geared for ICC, and my warrior is nearly geared for 25 man Happy.
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Emerald+Dream&cn=Fowler - Protection
For the other 2 specs you can whisper me in game to check them out or wowheroes me for retribution :D

3. Why are you applying to Forsaken Enlightenment and what are your expectations from the guild?
I'm applying to Forsaken Enlightenment AGAIN. Because just at the start of Wotlk i left. and ever since i've been bouncing around guilds never really happy with what goes on. Either the whole guild are lifeless.... Or raids are far to serious and bland. High ranking members are Loot Ladies. etc. My current Guild Valour. Wasn't like those guilds...but it's starting to feel like a segregated bunch of people who "keep peace" with everyone else to raid. And i'm not really into playing Big Brother - Icecrown edition Happy.
Forsaken Enlightenment was the first guild i felt truely a part of, and had my most enjoyable raiding and socialising in.
I really do miss FE, I believe that since TBC i've only been in 2 truely good hearted guilds. SugarandSpice and Forsaken Enlightenment. And if im honest i miss being called Flower
All i expect of FE is to stay the same, the great bunch of people that have made it what it is today Happy.

4. Do you know any current Guild member and how did you hear about us?
Oh here we go! well...does Tethane count? :D and peter! :D and a few people i've glanced in dalaran i remember from back when i was in FE too Happy talked to a few of the gang Happy including one half of 'the legendary couple' sputtnik Happy
i heard about you from the gnomes o.O
I joined back in TBC...cant really remember how, i think you needed a willing prot paladin? and i was kinda there :D. I left in very early WOTLK due to curcimstances i could of reacted differently to and to and extent i wish i did.

5. What other guilds have you been in and why did you leave them? Do you currently have any other applications pending with other guilds?
ummm...theres a list here.
FE - the old "gm" (sicklight). His friend made remarks about my ex-girlfriend and i had enough Happy.
Bad company - made some good friends in there and they left so i did.
Battleragers - Put me through HELL applying and turned out to be utterly Anti-social.
Stonemansons - same as battleragers.
Valour - Fell out of the "niché" of regular raiders and decided to try out horde.
The firm - even though at that point i was the best geared ret paladin on the server. Made life hell for me. And when i joined the guild seemed to disperse before and after raids.
Arctic Vikings - Gave me alot of trouble about my age. And when i joined seemed to really ..'fail' at listening to tactics. Having me and Cronex who had done upto Lich king. They still went with a old tactic that didn't work Happy.
Valour - Came back to my old room. Felt great for a while. But "you can fix a mirror. But you can still see the cracks in that b*tch ass reflection" - lady gaga xD. Basicly i don't feel people are honest with each other in this guild. Alot of people down right despise others. and im sure alot of people don't like me here in valour Happy.

6. Tell us what special qualities you will bring to Forsaken Enlightenment.
Well, other than driving Jodie CRAZY in TBC by switching specs every raid? ummm im a 'good' raider(always available for anything ;D). I turn up when i sign up. I'm always happy to help people. And im willing to do anything it takes to succeed

7. Are you interested in becoming a social or raiding member of Forsaken Enlightenment, if social thank you for your application, if raiding please complete the next section. ummm. Well Social mainly. But i'd always be available to raid when needed Happy But i'll fill out the rest cause its more fun then riding round dalaran naked on a turtle Happy?.

Questions for raiders only:

What is your raiding spec and your duel spec if you have one, which do you prefer to play and why? Retribution and protection. Both i've raided hard mode ICC25 as and as holy i've raided icc25 normal modes. I kinda prefer Protection (jodie's gonna kill me for saying that after Zul'Aman) but my heart's always in retribution <3><

thanks for taking the time to read the application :D

"i heard about you from the gnomes"

That does sound like a bad thing. I will make sure the gnome, who has spoken shall lay silent for ages.

As I am a fairly new meat of FE, I think this app is awesome. You can't say "No" to a flowery paladin.

BUT, I've been in a pug or few with you where you "dc'ed" after fail attemptes on bosses. Yes, sir, those attempts were horrible, but IMHO it's way better to say "this is not gonna happen" than disconnect.

That's pretty much it. GL with your app.

Let's not talk about other people's 'DCs' until we get our own house in order eh?

Lol, I have had so many bad experience with this guild in the last 2 months it beggars belief. They were once a proud and great guild, I wonder if when you and your friends left they became bad.

I know a fair few Valour people and they are nice people, surprised to hear bad things internally about them.

Agree with Gala there. I know alot in Valour so a tad surprised that you said negative comments about them.

Also I agree with Johhny. I would like to know more about why you have such a vast guild history.

Your all blind, He explains all about the guilds in question 3 and 5! Do you lot not read the full applications?.

Aye I know lots of valour but tbh every guild has problems no suprise that a big guild that is well known and is a quite hardcore with raiding has a few idiots (cough Hyphy). People who know Valour know it isnt a bad guild and he didnt say negative things about Valour the guild, Just pointed out what can happen in an end game raiding guild as you do have people who don't like each other but they have to keep the peace for the guild. When that happens you can sense the atmosphere and it affects everything else and its affected him as he left to horde and now doesn't feel apart of the guild as such anymore. I personally don't see anything there that is bad against valour lol. So less of the aggresive replies Happy.

Well its fine by me Flower you seem to of matured and you know we are fun Happy, could do with another ret Paladin tbh in raids! (Your wish has come true dum dum duuhh), But as with everyones application I have to point out - raids are kinda full so you might not get a spot all the time, does that bother you? or you happy to just chill and fill in if needed?.

Aslong as them D/cs where accidental and don't happy again whilst your in our guild its fine with me, If they did happen a lot.

yeah I saw the reasons, I just think 8 guilds in 2 years is a little strange. thats a new guild every 3 months,

I've had 4 guilds in 2 and half years as just an example, but you lot seem to know the guy so i'll go with the flow, but I reserve the right to be called johnny on vent, if flower joins we'll have to call him .... Jeff

I didn't think I posted an aggressive comment, in fact my comment about BC was merely to ask if he was there in the days when BC actually had decent members..
As to Valour, I agree hard core raiding guilds do have cliques (been there) and it's what causes drama and such like, which is nice about FE, as there is no special cliques.
grz on your acceptance (terms and conditions apply)

re: Social application (FLOWER POWER) - ACCEPTED

sure, I have no problem with sitting out, as this application is in fact as social Happy
basicly the "guild hopping"

in turn, when I left FE, i joined bad company
and made a lot of great friends there (salucia, cronex, littlechris, Hitman) etc.
we all left after the GM went psycho on Salucia.
after leaving Bad company i applied to join battleragers.
i had a VERY hard time joining them, in the end i was only accepted because of their lack of good, reliable raiders.
after joining I was shocked at the lack of...togetherness?
Teamspeak's password was changed daily so you could only join it during raid times.
guildchat was silent before, during and after raids.
and i generally didnt make any friends there.

next came stonemansons which well...I made one raid, and because i didn't do enough dps on TRASH i was told to gear up or be kicked (as i was trial raider)
I left.

Joined valour and it felt like home again,
the people were great and best of all, cronex and salucia were there
i made life long friends there in meokai, humbin, jongil, milluiel and faith (meokai no longer raids much, and faith left to join loyalty)
"Team fish" made me feel welcome and i had a great time raiding in ulduar with them.
but in ToC my computer commited virus suicide at the same time my dad was fired from his work.
so it took a few months to sort out my new computer.
when i came back i had effectively been replaced raiding wise (which i expected)
so as icc approached i made a 2nd ten man group with cronex, meokai and salucia. which was great fun. We soon had some great additions to our group in Leonorr, chezza and adashina. all of which have left due to the same reasons i am looking to leave now.

I left for hordeside with Cronex, Littlechris and hitman. mostly for PVP.

i applied to join the firm. i was heavily praised on the website, as i had more experience than any of their guildies in ICC and joined a raid to find that loot was distributed according to rank.
the guild chat was very poor, and socialising was hard as cronex, littlechris and hitman had joined arctic vikings.

so i applied for there, AV's age limit is 16, but as i was the first applicant under 16 to be honest with my age and had 3 guildies to back up my ability and maturity i was accepted.

to find...their raids were very poorly organised, the loot system rewarded people who had been in the guild longer rather than commitment to raiding.
i found that socialising was okay..mostly due to the "boomer brothers" two irish shammies who made everyday a little brighter Happy
but soon the big headedness of the Raid leader got to me.
we were wiping on PP normal mode, doing tactics that complicated the whole encounter and me and cronex were NOT allowed to give our opinions on the tactics (even though we had both downed the boss)

so i eventually got fed up, and joined valour again.
it was great for a few weeks, but soon it was standby....standby....standby...standby...."do you want to come to kill sindragosa hardmode?"

every week, usually the same people didnt turn up for the "hard" encounters,
and after a while, i felt...unappreciated? mostly because well, why should i turn up and wipe, waste my save and not get gear, because people wont show up week after week?
when i NEED the gear to get in the fresh run?

certain members of valour have made me feel quite small in the guild
and its a shame because some of the members are the nicest people you will EVER meet.
i don't have a word wrong to say about the guild
its a strong, well run machine.
but thats what it feels like to me...a machine, not a guild.

as far as the DC's,
if you could please tell me where i'd be happy to clear that up
as most of the time i dc due to pulling my router off the wall and that takes about 10-20 minutes to reset.

thanks all and hope this helped Happy

Thanks Flower for your application, you know I am slightly bias as you were like a little bro to me so I have stayed out of this application thread in favour of letting others quiz you!!

Thank you for the replies about the Guilds, I think I understand what you are trying to say about Valour, me myself would never have a bad word against them but hey, sometimes you fit and sometimes you dont and sometimes as you said with such high numbers cliques form, I do try to discourage that here, hopefully to effect!!!
