re: Application Resto Shaman - WITHDRAWN

Hey all, this is my application, please read it.
Thanks in advance

Questions for all applicants:

1. What is your name, age and location?
Joe, 22, Lelystad (the Netherlands)

2. What is your characters name, level, class, spec and professions? (please provide us with a link to your armoury.)
Namura, level 80, Shaman, Restoration, Alchemy and Jewelcrafting.
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Emerald+Dream&cn=Namura

3. Why are you applying to Forsaken Enlightenment and what are your expectations from the guild?
I would like to join because i do want to raid but can't make enough raids to join a hardcore raiding guild, your social point of view seems just about right to me.

4. Do you know any current Guild member and how did you hear about us?
Aaltsje

5. What other guilds have you been in and why did you leave them? Do you currently have any other applications pending with other guilds?
I have been in Asylum but there was no raid spot for me.
After that i joined muted but the gm had some issues and most raids got cancelled. No applications pending anywhere else.

6. Tell us what special qualities you will bring to Forsaken Enlightenment.
Erm...Totems? Happy Just kidding, I have been resto since the start of wotlk so i
defenitly know my class and spec, I have tried both enh and ele for os and have some gear for both should you need anyone of those offspecs in raids. I like resto best though

7. Are you interested in becoming a social or raiding member of Forsaken Enlightenment, if social thank you for your application, if raiding please complete the next section.
I'd like to be a raider but as said i wont be able to make all the raid days.

Questions for raiders only:

What is your raiding spec and your duel spec if you have one, which do you prefer to play and why?
Restoration is my main spec, i prefer that spec because i think I'm quite good at healing, better then with dealing damage at least.
For offspec I am ele atm but can swith it to enh anytime. I like them both though not nearly as much as I like resto.

How do you keep yourself up to date on the latest developments of your class? Do you visit any websites for this?
Used to visit guildforums but atm not much is changing for my class/spec.

Comment on your talents and glyphs. Why did you choose them? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those?
Pff coming up with the hard questions eh? Well there really is only 1 best resto spec and that's what i picked up, glyphs are obvious choices really, can't imagine anyone taking other ones.

Do you have control of your own time i.e. if you sign and are selected for a raid can you guarantee (disasters and acts of god permitting) that you will be available until raid end time.
Yes

When are you usually available for raiding (specific days of the week and preferred hours) have you taken note of our raiding days and do they fit into your schedule?
Almost everyday, saturday night change becasue i have work at changing times, sundag i have work untill 20:30 game time so i can't make those raids.

What add-ons do you like to use for raids?
DBM, Clique, Grid, PaC.

What raiding experience do you have and what role has this been in?
Only naming the wotlk raids here,
Naxx 10/25 all bosses Multiple specs
Voa 10/25 all bosses, multiple specs
Ulduar 10/25 first 3 bosses Resto spec (kinda skipped ulduar really)
Icc 10/25 resto spec wiped on LK dont have all achi's up to LK (have done all fights but some on different chars).

What raids do you believe you are geared for?
All endgame raids available at this moment.

Have you tried and/or completed any raid achievements and hard modes? What do you think of them and would you like to try more in the future?
Have not tried, but would love to.

Some difficult scenarios

An Officer or fellow member offers you some advice on how to improve your play, be it through rotations, talents or gem and enchant suggestions, how do you feel?
Great! someone is trying to help me by giving advice wich could improve my performance, if it's something i haven't tried yet I defenitly will.

An item that you desperately want drops from ICC 25 you register your interest but the loot council awards it to another player as is it a bigger upgrade or their attendance has been better, how do you react?
Though one, I believe anyone in the raid should have an equal chance of getting loot and lesser geared player should get some items to improve the teams performance, however i won't like losing those few items I need to people that are kinda getting boosted or anything. After all I worked hard to et the gear i have now and any improvements are getting harder to get. As for attendancy.. Anyone being in the raid at the time is putting all there effort into it, or at least they should be. Past or future raids shouldnt affect loot distribution for this single raid.

In order to balance a raid for an encounter or because there are far to many signs the raidleader places you on standby for the second time running, but another member of your class is in the raid for the third time in a row. What do you do?
Well if the raid leader decides the other player should be in it so be it, He probably has good reasons to beleive the other player is a better adition to the team at that time, I won't really make a problem out of it.

After a heavy night of raiding another member makes a comment about your performance which may not be called for, how do you react?
Depending on the way the comment is placed, however i will always try to avoid any conflict with fellow guildmember and try to calm the person. If we can't work it out I will ask an officer to help out.

We are wiping..... all night...... getting the raid and the tactics right, your repair bill is going through the roof and not much progression is happening, how do you feel?
Shame we can't get the boss down, money doesn't really interest me much in this game. Maybe we should take a time out, take a closer look at how the fight went and try to come to a conclusion of what actually went wrong. Next time we will get the boss down I'm sure!

Thank you for your application. As you may have read we are pretty full on raiding spots at the moment, so we a currently only accepting social members who may have the oppurtunity to fill raid spots, but those spots aren't promised.

I have one comment about your response to loot distribution. You say that past raid shouldnt affect loot distribution for the current raid, but with our method of loot distribution (EPGP) it does exactly that, we aim to reward people for high attendance and there commitment to the raiding squad, even awarding EP to those on standby, maybe have a read of this post http://forsakenenlightenment.guildlaunch.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4686303&gid=45872 for a more detailed explanation.

Good luck with your application and check back here for questions and a final desision!

Yay, someone else I know. Happy Gl Joe!

And to all you officers out there I would like to add that he's a very social and funny guy and a gd player as well. So imo an asset to the guild.

Sorry for the delayed reply, we have had to discuss recruitment as an Officer group as we are heading into very large numbers both social and raiding wise. We will be closing recruitment from this point.

We however would like to offer you a social spot within FE, we cannot guarantee any raiding at the moment though Im afraid so if this doesnt fit into what you are looking for please decline your invitation. Poke an Officer in game for an invite!
